My mom died today.
So, Mom nearly died last night.
She was very weak. Losing a lot of blood. 1AM.
The ambulance came. They put her on a stretcher and carried her out. Lifeless, for all intents and purposes. Very disturbing, seeing her like that. Maybe that would be the last time I ever saw her. Not a very dignified memory. Reminds me of the last time I saw her father, lying eerily still and calm in his casket.
