You know,
I am really bothered by the fact that there’s an indie band named Sharpless out there. I was the Internet’s most prominent* Sharpless for years. But, now? Well, you know how the Internet loves indie stuff. These guys (and gal) will probably be on top of the world within a year or two, and where will I be? Twitter and Tumblr and every other website I’ve ever registered the...

‘Community’: Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown,... →
synecdoche: Ganz: There have always been funny women. But in some ways, it takes a while for there to be women who were watching women on television for years and then grow up and think, “I could do funny stuff.” I grew up watching I Love Lucy. She was doing funny stuff. Brown: It’s the same for minorities, too. Until we get black writers in writing rooms and as studio executives, it’s going...

It's gotten to the point where
I barely even process it anymore when I see bikini-clad models — such as Kate Upton, who I believe is the current Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girl type person lady, or some rubbish — appearing on my dashboard. My brain goes into Terminator-cyborg mode; I process the facts but feel nothing. “Kate Upton: Pretty face. Nice breasts.” …and that’s it. I...

doombots replied to your post: I think it’s funny that a lot of people are… From what I’ve seen most people are mad cause he only mentioned Chris Brown and didn’t say shit about the Oscars giving awards to Roman Polanski and whoever else. But I didn’t really look into it cause I could care less. Eh, that’s not what I had seen, but the Polanski thing is a whole ‘nother can of...

Dream Journal: Nazi Shoplifting Edition
Warning: I am going to tell you about a dream I had earlier. It will take a while. Bear with me. I was in a Wawa convenience store and, for some reason, they had a massive toy section with tons of old Star Trek toys from the ’90s on sale. I realized that all the employees and customers had left so I decided to steal all the toys I wanted before anyone came back. A dude in a suit came in with a...

I think it’s funny that a lot of people are treating Seth Rogen’s reference to Chris Brown like it’s a slam. Seth Rogen didn’t say one word against Chris Brown. Chris Brown literally beat the shit out of a Grammy nominee, and they still asked him to perform twice. That’s not a slam. That is actually what happened.

I really shouldn’t open up Tumblr as soon as I wake up, because waking up to people complaining about stupid shit is not a pleasant way to wake up, especially when one hasn’t had one’s meds yet.

Oscarsh B'gosh
Look, I haven’t seen a single movie that was nominated tonight, and I really don’t want to, but Bret McKenzie and the Dean from Community both won Oscars tonight, and that’s all I care about. I WIN. FUCK Y’ALL.

Ugh, okay, I was going to do this thing where I’d post pictures of people and characters named Oscar with the tag “Oscars” throughout the night, but you know what? Fuck it. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost my ability to be funny. Because, you know, that joke isn’t funny. I bet hundreds of people are doing it on Tumblr as we speak. Not. Funny. And, you know, I like...

Just watched TRON: Legacy for the first time...
Thoughts: Digital Jeff Bridges looks goofy. OH. MY. GOODNESS. The sounds and visuals of this film are orgasmic. No, no, I’m not kidding. No boners were popped, but there were moments when I definitely felt some tingling. This is everything I love — the electronic soundtrack, the shiny cyberpunk visuals, the over-the-top ridiculousness of the premise. The story’s kind of...

So, I listened to Lana Del Rey's album...
It was all right. Kind of goofy in places. I liked it, though. What are we upset about, again? Oh, yes, the fact that someone in the music industry isn’t 100% homegrown and natural. That is so incredibly shocking. A musician and her handlers cultivating an image! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO US ALL OF A SUDDEN?! Admittedly, her lyrics can be a little dippy and pretentious, and “This is...

I just fried some eggs.
Kept the yolks intact. Isn’t that impressive? I mean, seriously, I have no idea. I thought that was supposed to be something that was impressive. The yolk was a bit runny. That’s a good thing, right? I don’t know from eggs.
