The Larry Sanders Show
“You’re Having My Baby”
Season 3, Episode 2

LARRY: She gets off work, and I, uh… meet her in the parking lot; we sit in my car and we talk.
ARTY: What did you talk about, Larry? About the distinguishing marks around your dick? How else would she know?
LARRY: It’s embarrassing, Arty. We sat in the car…
ARTY: Yeah? And then you buffed her.
LARRY: No!

Rip Torn is really funny, turns out.

nanoblossom replied to your post: How do you make gifs?

this made my brain get bulemia

Oh, my brain was throwing up for days when I first started. I’m an easily overwhelmed idiot who runs screaming from anything that doesn’t click into place in my brain immediately. I actually stuck with this for once (thanks, behavior modification drugs!) and eventually learned the oh-so-useful craft of gif-making. Ever since then, I’ve been awash in money and vaginas. SUCCESS.

How do you make gifs?

You know what? I was going to answer this privately, but I might as well do this publicly, in case anyone else out there is jonesing to make some gifs.

This is the software that I use for screencapping large stretches of video, and this is the tutorial that I learned the in-Photoshop process from. I delete every other screencap from each scene I’m giffing, then set each frame to last .08 seconds when animating.

If any of that doesn’t make any sense, just try digging into the tutorial and playing with Avidemux a little bit. It’ll probably make sense eventually. I’m not a graphical genius so, sadly, my explanation can’t get much better than that. Still, if I could figure it out, then most of you probably can too.

Also, it’s not nearly as time-consuming as it sounds. This gif took me about 5-10 minutes. This one took my about 15.

Yep, still watching Enterprise. Still making gifs.

Still kind of bored but nonetheless compelled to keep going.

THE GREAT “SHARPLESS WATCHES STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE” PROJECT

STATUS: SEASON 1, EPISODE 25
CONDITION: MILDLY AMUSED; COPING

Okay, so, the only problem I have with Enterprise right now is the filler. Star Trek, as beloved as it is to me, is really good at producing filler. And when Enterprise itself is barely interesting to me, the filler makes me want to put a dilithium crystal through my skull. Sometimes, Hannah and I let the AIM window gather dust for most of the 42 minutes, or we end up discussing cat pictures or T’Pol’s killer rack instead.

Whatever. I can survive on ridiculousness alone.

THE GREAT “SHARPLESS WATCHES STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE” PROJECT

STATUS: SEASON ONE, EPISODE SEVENTEEN
CONDITION: STILL BREATHING

You know, Star Trek TV series come in some really fucked up resolutions. This isn’t really something you’d notice, unless you were hopelessly far down the fandom rabbit hole and were the sort of person who would download an entire episode just to screencap a two-second scene and make a gif out of it. But 448px wide? Really?

Anyway, Enterprise is totally watchable and it has one or two okay characters and I unironically enjoy the theme song now. … That was me flipping off the computer screen.
